Pico Rivera City Council and the Samuelian Family

PICO RIVERA, Calif.—On Tuesday March 22 the Pico Rivera City Council honored the Samuelian family who own and operate Nationwide Environmental Services, for their continued contributions to the community and civic leadership.

Nationwide Environmental Services, was founded by Joe Samuelian and located in Norwalk, California since 1968. Today, NES is the largest street sweeping company in the nation servicing over 50 municipalities, residential communities, business parks, parking facilities, construction sites, and sports complexes. In addition to quality street sweeping services, NES provides graffiti abatement and catch basin cleanout services to several municipalities throughout Los Angeles and Orange County. NES operates a modern and efficient fleet of vehicles that comply with all State & Federal emission regulations. In 2006, the North American Power Sweeping Association (NAPSA) designated NES as one of the first Certified Sweeping Companies in the Nation.

Recently, Ani Samuelian who serves as Vice President of NES was recognized as “Business Woman of the Year” in the 32nd District by California State Senator Tony Mendoza.

The family through their company support several civic and non-profit community organizations in the same communities in which they provide quality contract services to.

Pico Rivera is home to Armenian Mesrobian School, the Samuelian family, for many years, have provided financial support as proud parents of 4 graduates. They continue to support Holy Cross Cathedral in Montebello, the Armenian National Committee of America, and the Montebello ARS Nayri Chapter and the Armenian Cultural Foundation.
