The ANCA is committed to helping Armenian students advance their educations by sharing information about scholarships available at various academic institutions and at different levels of learning. Students are encouraged to apply to all scholarship for which they are eligible. Some scholarships have specific school and field of study requirements. Special thanks to resources made available by The Armenite, Armenian Youth Federation, Armenian Relief Society, Armenian General Benevolent Union, Armenian Student Association, and Armenian Assembly of America.

  • Armenian American Citizen's League Scholarship

      • Amount: Between $500-$2,000

      • Description: Scholarships are awarded based on Grade Point Average (GPA), financial need, and community service/employment record. Must be a permanent resident of the United States. The student’s permanent residence for the past two years has been California. 3.0 and above GPA . Must have completed at least one semester/quarter in college as a full-time student. Must be of Armenian descent.

Citizens of Armenia studying in Armenia are not eligible for this scholarship. Non-Armenian citizens studying in Armenia are eligible.
    • Religious Studies Fellowship

        • Amount: Up to $5,000 annually, available for a maximum of three years toward seminary/college/university education expenses.

        • Description: AGBU offers scholarships to graduate students of Armenian descent. Applicants must be enrolled in full-time graduate degree programs (Master’s, Doctoral, Professional) at highly selective colleges and universities in the United States with a GPA of 3.5 and above, as measured by the American grading system.

    Description: The scholarships are awarded to full-time female students of Armenian descent attending accredited colleges or universities.

  • Armenian Relief Society Scholarship List

    • ARS Scholarship Fund (Includes the “Eremian,” “Jizmajian,” “Baghdoyan,” “Baloonian,” and “Kalaydjian” Funds)

Must fulfill prerequisites set by the ARS entity in their region. Currently, are not recipients of a scholarship from any ARS entity in their region. Applications and requested enclosures must be in Armenian or English; any other language is not acceptable. Documents in other languages must have their official translations into English or Armenian attached.       • Description: Must be a student of the California State University, Fresno who meet university and Program minimum requirements. Students working toward a minor or simply enrolling in Armenian courses are eligible for scholarships administered by the program. Annual renewals are assured for students who continue to enroll in Armenian Studies courses. Available for anyone taking Armenian Studies Program courses and not only for students of “Armenian” heritage. Students pursuing a minor in Armenian Studies are usually guaranteed a scholarship. Each year, several Research Grants are also awarded to ASP students with a high GPA interested in carrying out research in Armenian history, art, or literature under the direction of a faculty member.
