Demand the Resignation of NYC Mayor Adams In Light of Federal Indictment

Share this:

Join the Armenian National Committee of New York in demanding the resignation of New York City Mayor Eric Adams in light of the federal indictment revealing his corrupt relationship with the Turkish government, including outright bribery and illegal foreign campaign donations.

These charges, outlined in the Department of Justice’s highly-detailed 57-page indictment, represent serious breaches of the public trust, undermining the integrity of New York City’s leadership and casting a dark shadow over the independence of Mayor Adams’ decision-making. Adams’ indictment is all the more disturbing because of the atrocious record of Turkey in committing war crimes and human rights abuses – against their own citizens and neighboring states.

Here is a sample letter:

Mayor Adams,

I am writing to call upon you to resign in light of the Federal indictment charging you with taking bribes from Turkey – a corrupt, racist, and genocidal state that has, among other crimes against so many other nations, attacked, committed genocide against, and ethnically cleansed Armenians from their indigenous homeland.

These charges, outlined in the Department of Justice’s highly-detailed 57-page indictment, represent serious breaches of the public trust, undermining the integrity of New York City’s leadership and casting a dark shadow over the independence of your decision-making. Your indictment is all the more disturbing because of the atrocious record of Turkey in committing war crimes and human rights abuses – against their own citizens and neighboring states.

New York City is home to such a diverse array of communities, including many who came to America to flee intolerance, persecution, and violence. It is a gross offense against these New Yorkers that you have conspired with regimes guilty of these sorts of crimes. As such, I call on you to resign from your position as Mayor of New York City.

New York City deserves leadership that is free from foreign influence.

Sincerely,
