GLENDALE—The Armenian Youth Federation will be hosting their much anticipated Glendale Career Fair on Sunday, August 28, 2016. The Glendale Career Fair is open to all community members, specifically targeting high school and college students, in pursuit of higher education and career development opportunities in various work fields.
The Career Fair will take place on Sunday, August 28, 2016 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Glendale Youth Center (211 W. Chestnut Ave. Glendale, CA 91204). Representatives from various organization and companies will be present to offer internship and volunteer opportunities to interested attendees. Career opportunities from various fields will be available, ranging from the political field to the economic field. Representatives from the organizations will be available to answer any questions and provide detailed descriptions of the positions offered.
Additionally, two workshops will be offered to the community members starting at 3:30 p.m. The first workshop will cover resume and interview building skills. The second workshop is entitled “Market Yourself” workshop, starting at 4:15 p.m.
Students and those seeking career opportunities are encouraged to attend, as they will gain essential information and advice on career development skills through the workshops presented by field professionals. Additionally, attendees will have the opportunity to apply and obtain internship opportunities through the positions offered by various organizations and companies present at the event.
Founded in 1933, the Armenian Youth Federation is the largest and the most influential Armenian- American youth organization in the United States, working to advance the social, political, education and cultural awareness among Armenian-American youth.
