Alec M. Abrahamian, 1928 – 2016
The American General Family is deeply saddened by the passing of our beloved Alec M. Abrahamian.
A cherished member of our company family, Alec was a pillar of integrity, expertise, and humility – a shining example of a true gentleman. Ever able to elevate a conversation, Mr. Alec was an honored patriarch to us all – admired, respected, and above all, loved.
Alec was a husband, father, grandfather, and cherished friend. Born in Iran, Mr. Alec brought his family to Glendale in 1985 and became a leading contributor to the community after years of work in the Iran.
Educated in Iran and the UK, Alec spent more than 20 years with Povac and AGD, and over 60 years in the engineering and construction fields. Alec’s professional experience was extensive, providing engineering expertise throughout the UK, Iran, and United Sates. His early work as an engineer proved he was an excellent and creative thinker, working on the design, construction, operation, and maintenance of major oil infrastructure, electrical power generation and distribution networks, as well as water supply and sanitation systems in the Iran.
Alec was a mentor and friend to the American General Family of Architects, Contractors, Consultants, and Staff. Godspeed good friend. You will forever be in our hearts….
