WASHINGTON, D.C.—During his visit to Washington, D.C., Armenian President Armen Sarkissian met with U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo to discuss relations between the two countries.
Sarkissian said that he reiterated the importance of strong U.S.-Armenian relations to Pompeo. He specifically emphasized that the two countries should continue to consistently develop their partnerships, and he pledged the new Armenian government’s willingness to maintain friendly relations with the U.S.
Sarkissian left a note in the State Department’s guestbook before departing.
