GENEVA (Public Radio of Armenia) — Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian and Swiss Head of the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs Didier Burkhalter signed an agreement on visa facilitation between Armenia and Switzerland at the end of their meeting on February 29.

Nalbandian was on a working visit to Geneva, Switzerland where he was discussing the progress of the relations between the two countries with Burkhalter.

Minister Nalbandian welcomed the developing relations between the two countries and praised the continuous high-level dialogue.

Burkhalter noted, in turn, that Switzerland considers its relations with Armenia very significant in its foreign policy.

In addition, both parties discussed a wide range of issues related to bilateral cooperation. Some of these issues included economic, cultural, and inter-parliamentary ties between the two and the deepening of cooperation within the framework of international organizations.

Urgent regional and international issues were also discussed between the two. Both hope that the Russian-American agreement on Syria truce would pave the way for the establishment of peace and stability in Syria.

At the end, Nalbandian briefly touched upon the negotiations regarding the peaceful settlement of the Karabakh conflict.
