YEREVAN (Public Radio of Armenia) — Azerbaijan will have to recognize Artsakh if it wants to get rid of the Minsk Group Co-Chairmanship format, Armenian Deputy Foreign Minister Shavarsh Kocharyan said in a Twitter post.

“To get rid of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs format, Baku should recognize the Nagorno Karabakh Republic and determine the borders between the two countries through direct negotiations with Karabakh,” Shavarsh Kocharyan said.

Meanwhile in Stepanakert, on 11 February, Artsakh President Bako Sahakian met with Armenian Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan, according to the Office of the Nagorno-Karabakh President.

Army building and cooperation between the two Armenian states were among the topics discussed during the meeting.

Artsakh Defense Minister Levon Mnatsakanyan was also present at the meeting.
