Dr. Joseph A. Kechichian

Dr. Joseph A. Kechichian will present a lecture on his recent book ‘Iffat Al Thunayan: An Arabian Queen on Wednesday, September 30 at 4:00 p.m. in the Main Conference Room (11360) of Young Research Library at UCLA.

Dr. Kechichian will be introduced by Silva Katchiguian, President of the Armenian International Women’s Association (AIWA)-LA.

Joseph A. Kechichian is a Senior Fellow at the King Faisal Center for Research and Islamic Studies (KFCRIS), in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, the CEO of Kechichian & Associates, LLC, a consulting partnership providing analysis on the Arabian/Persian Gulf region, and a Senior Writer with the Dubai-based Gulf News.  Dr. Kechichian will highlight the modernizing influence Queen ‘Iffat Al Thunayan exerted in promoting women’s issues and advocating for gender equality in Saudi Arabia.
