STEPANAKERT—Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) Republic President Bako Sahakian received the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs, personal representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, and various officials on March 28.
Sahakian during the meeting congratulated newly-appointed French and American co-chairmen Stéphane Visconti and Richard Hoagland, and wished them success in their mission.
Issues related to the Artsakh-Azerbaijani conflict settlement were discussed, as well as recent developments along the border.
The President noted that Azerbaijan maintains its unconstructive stance by violating the ceasefire agreements and continues to pursue an anti-Armenian policy within the state.
Sahakian highlighted the necessity of expanding the mechanisms of the ceasefire regime and the importance of revealing violations as a pivotal component of the peace process.
He also reaffirmed the commitment of Stepanakert toward a peaceful settlement of the conflict within the frameworks of OSCE Minsk Group.
Artsakh Foreign Minister Karen Mirzoyan and the presidential spokesperson David Babayan were present during the meeting.
The same day, Armenian serviceman Artak Rafaelyan, born in 1997, was killed by Azerbaijani fire along the Line of Contact. The incident occurred while he was on duty at the military unit in the eastern direction of the border.
