STEPANAKERT (ARKA)—The industrial output of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic in the first five months of 2015 in current prices was worth more than 21.1 billion drams, according to the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic National Statistical Service (NSS).
NSS said that in comparable prices the output was 6.1% higher year-on-year. According to official numbers, the mining and quarry industry accounted for 25.7% of the total output. Processing accounted for 34.4%, energy (including electricity, gas, and steam) accounted for 38.8%, while water distribution, sewerage, and waste management contributed to 1.1% of the total output.
Sales of finished products in the reporting period of time amounted to 20.9 billion drams in current prices.
Sales of meat and meat products amounted to 3,275 tons, including poultry. Milk production amounted to 24,649 tons, while 20.4 million eggs were produced.
The construction sector was said to have dropped by 33% year-on-year to 10.2 billion drams.
