PARIS—The 350th anniversary of the first Armenian Bible printed by Voskan Yerevantsi in 1666 and the 200th anniversary of the birth of Hovhannes Ayvazovsky (1817-199) have been included in UNESCO’s 2016-2017 calendar of important cultural achievements and celebrations.

The decision was made at the 28th session of the UNESCO General Conference held in Paris on November 4-18, 2015.

Twenty-one applications by the Republic of Armenia have been included in the UNESCO calendar since 1998.
