MOSCOW (Armenpress)— Russia’s Federation Council (the upper house of the Russian parliament) on December 14 will discuss appointment of Sahak Karapetyan as Deputy Prosecutor General of Russia.
The December 13 session of the Council of the Federation Committee on Constitutional Legislation supported Karapetyan’s candidacy. The Committee’s chairperson Andrey Klishas said Karapetyan fully meets the qualification requirements.
Karapetyan is currently the head of Russia’s Main Department of International-Legal cooperation of the Prosecutor General’s Office.
If appointed, Karapetyan will reportedly deal with international cooperation issues in the Prosecutor General’s Office.
