MARTAKERT—Artsakh President Bako Sahakian visited the Alashan settlement of the Martakert region on Friday, August 26 to meet with residents of Talish who have been forcefully displaced due to the April War, announced the Nagorno-Karabakh Press Office.

During their meeting, Sahakian and the Talish residents discussed improvement of their social and living conditions.

The President emphasized that the government will do everything possible to provide sustainable solutions to their displacement.

Prime Minister Arayik Harutyunyan and other officials accompanied the President.

On August 24, Sahakian participated in a festive event organized by the Yerkrapah Volunteers Union.

Sahakian underlined that it is essential to instill patriotism within younger generations and strengthen Armenian ties, said Artsakh’s Presidential Office.

Primate of the Artsakh Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church Archbishop Pargev Martirosyan, chairman of the Yerkrapah Volunteers Union, Manvel Grigoryan, and other officials partook in the event.
