GLENDALEOn Thursday, May 19, at 7:00pm, Tumo Center for Creative Technologies and leading preservation nonprofit CyArk will present “Armenian Heritage: A Virtual Pilgrimage,” a presentation about their collaborative project to digitally preserve Armenia’s cultural heritage using state-of-the-art 3D scanning technology. Tumo and CyArk have joined forces to digitally preserve Armenia’s cultural heritage and train students in the principles and practice of 3D scanning for cultural heritage preservation. The beautiful and rock-hewn Geghard Monastery in Armenia was the first historical site to be digitally preserved through the collaboration and they plan to expand the cutting edge program to additional historical sites in the next year.

This event is co-hosted by ANCA Professional Network and is part of the ANCA-PN Talks series. Visit Armenia3D.org to learn more about the project and how you can get involved.
