YEREVAN (Armenpress)—Armenian representation Shant Khachatryan won the 54kg wrestling competition at the European Cadet Championship in Stockolm, Sweden, National Olympic Committee of Armenia reported. Khachatryan competed against Georgian wrestler Irakli Dzmistarishvili by fall in the final bout.
Before reaching the final, Khachatryan had defeated Russian, Moldavian, Polish and Turkish wrestlers.
On the last competition day, wrestlers of 46kg, 54kg, 63kg, 76kg and 100kg weight class competed.
The Armenian Greco-Roman wrestling junior team conquered 2 gold, 2 silver and 1 bronze medals.
