ANCA PUBLISHES POSITION PAPERS ON KEY ARMENIAN AMERICAN CONCERNS

WASHINGTON, DC – The Armenian National Committee of America today released an expanded set of position papers on current issues of concern to the Armenian American community. The topics include:

** Commemoration of the Armenian Genocide
** U.S. Aid to Armenia
** U.S. Aid to Nagorno Karabagh
** Section 907 of the Freedom Support Act
** U.S. Military Aid to Azerbaijan
** U.S. Arms Sales/Transfers to Turkey
** Self-Determination for the Republic of Nagorno Karabagh
** Expanding the U.S. -Armenia Relationship
** U.S. Financing of Baku-Ceyhan Pipeline Routes that Bypass Armenia
** Restrictions on the Armenian Community in Turkey

“These issue papers define our positions on the key issues facing the Armenian American community and serve as the blueprint for the ANCA’s advocacy with the Bush Administration, Congress, international think tanks and the broader Washington foreign policy community,” said Aram Hamparian, Executive Director of the ANCA. “As always, we look forward to working in constructive, cooperative partnership with all elements of the Armenian community in advancing these concerns and further strengthening the Armenian American presence in the nation’s capital.”
